Air Import Customer Service Agent (Temp to Hire) - Jamaica NY Industry: Logistics Location: Jamaica, NY Salary: $23$25/hour Visa Sponsor: No Language: English: Business Level, Japanese: Conversation Level Job Description: Japanese logistics company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Import Customer Service Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will start on a temporary basis with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and effective communication abilities. Responsibilities: Arrange customs clearance and delivery for air import cargo. Communicate effectively with local parties and customers. Issue invoices, create reports, and prepare estimates. Handle 200-300 shipments per month (approximately 10-15 shipments per day). Use Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook for daily tasks. Requirements: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Bilingual in Japanese and English is preferred (not mandatory). Experience in forwarding is preferred (not mandatory). Ability to work Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in import customer service or related fields. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm M-F Must be able to commute to the office.
