Job Title: Specimen Processing Technician Contract Duration: 2 Months Location: Irving, TX Work Type: Onsite, Monday - Friday 11 pm - 7.30 am CST Job Summary: Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong background in data entry? We are seeking a dedicated Specimen Processing Technician to join our team and contribute to the efficient and accurate processing of laboratory specimens. As a Specimen Processing Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall operations of our laboratory. Responsibilities: Specimen Handling: Perform various tasks related to specimen processing, including A-station, presort, pickup and delivery, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting. Data Entry: Accurately enter data into our systems at a high volume. Compliance Adherence: Understand and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines. Quality Assurance: Ensure all tasks are performed with accuracy and in a timely manner. Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing demands and priorities. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Strong data entry skills (6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour) Basic understanding of computers and laboratory testing (preferred) Medical background with knowledge of clinical laboratory terminology (preferred) Previous laboratory or production environment experience (preferred) Ability to work in a biohazard environment and practice good safety habits Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About The Company: Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
