Leading Airline Catering Company seeking a Production Planning Manager for developing daily and weekly schedules for production and labor based on requirements and determining daily shipping volume. Responsibilities: Work with the logistics department to determine daily production and scheduling requirements Analyze and interpret numerical data and perform basic financial analysis Schedules manpower, materials, and equipment Ensure raw materials, paperwork, and processes are in place Production status reporting Manage production disruptions and productivity problems Establish performance measurement programs Analyze work data to develop standards Plan and strategize ways to increase capacity, improving efficiency and waste reduction Record daily issues on the Customer Issue Log and distribute them to the Newark operations team via email and daily communications Ensure optimal sanitation is maintained throughout facility via periodic audits Compliance of Corporate Foodservice Standards Responsible for ETEC system accuracy for purchasing and receiving the product Conduct periodic inventory of purchased product Manage the purchase of internal products Manage, lead, and motivate a diverse team (managers and hourly staff) Know internal policies and procedures Implement continuous improvement Know and follow all safety requirements; thereby maintaining a safe work environment Act as the subject matter expert for SAGE Requirements: A minimum of 2-5 years supervising a food production environment SAGE Competent written skills and effective verbal communication skills Knowledge of HACCP requirements, USDA, GMP, cold food production processes, and sanitation requirements Bilingual in Spanish is a plus BS/BA (Business, Engineering, Food Science) a plus Additional Info: This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Must be able to bend, lift 50 pounds, and stand throughout a work day.
