Job Summary The Practice Administrator plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of a healthcare practice, ensuring that it runs efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of both clinical and administrative functions, with a focus on fiscal management and compliance with healthcare regulations. The Practice Administrator will work closely with medical staff and management to enhance patient care while maintaining operational excellence. Duties Oversee daily operations of the practice, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Manage budgeting and financial management processes to ensure fiscal responsibility. Collaborate with clinical staff to improve patient care and operational workflows. Implement and maintain systems for effective practice management, including scheduling, billing, and record-keeping. Monitor performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement in areas such as patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery. Stay informed about industry trends, managed care policies, and changes in medical terminology relevant to the practice. Ensure adherence to protocols related to acute care services within the practice setting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in practice management or a similar role within a healthcare setting, preferably in veterinary or hospital environments. Strong knowledge of budgeting, fiscal management, and financial reporting processes. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, patients, and external partners. Experience working within managed care frameworks is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to achieve common goals.
