Nurse Practitioner Breast&Plastics Surgical Oncology Breast&Plastics Surgical Oncology Full Time 80919BR Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner will provide support to the Breast Care Clinic on the Peninsula (Burlingame site) as an educator, advocate and care provider and is responsible for the care, treatment, and well-being of patients followed in the Breast Care Clinic. Specific job duties will be reviewed annually based on volume and practice needs. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate). The NP in the Breast Care Clinic provides job functions with a focus on ordering the diagnostics to diagnose breast disease, including both malignant and benign breast conditions, managing breast-health issues, and monitoring of high-risk post-surgery patients/survivorship and will work closely with the Cancer Center Medical Oncology practices, including satellite clinics, to provide comprehensive patient care. The NP will participate in projects, programs and other activities to support clinical practice and practice operations. Required Qualifications One to three (1-3) years of breast cancer or surgery experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an Academic Medical Center. AOCNP Certified. Five (5) years experience in oncology as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner. Experience in a high patient volume oncology practice/environment. License/Certification California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: AGNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, ACNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC. Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California. Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner. Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. Current AHA BLS. State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice. Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.
