The Pine Hill Mill is currently seeking experienced Millwright Journeymen who are dependable, and have excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. The hourly rate of pay is $37.41 for day workers. Position Title: J1 - Millwright Pay Rate: $37.41 Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time Physical Location: 7600 Hwy 10 West, Pine Hill, AL 36769 The Job You Will Perform: Obtain daily work orders Read blueprints and drawings Dismantle machines as needed Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks Assemble and install equipment Install machine and equipment according to layout plan, blueprints and other drawings Utilize hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools Operate cranes, tow motors and forklifts Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators Install machinery; new and existing equipment May repair and lubricate machine and equipment Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln Have computer skills Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues Fabricate structural materials as needed Assist mechanical craft as needed Perform other duties as assigned The Skills You Will Bring: Minimum high school diploma or have a GED equivalent Must be 18 years or older Technical training or certification as a Millwright; or at least 3 years of work experience as a Millwright Willing and capable of working all shifts Successful candidate should have the ability to: Personally exhibit safety as a core value and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety Represent both company policy and direction Develop knowledge of department and mill operations processes, equipment and systems Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills Work effectively alone or within a team Utilize strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively Analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams Basic computer skills Make timely and effective decisions The Benefits You Will Enjoy: International Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term Disability, 401(k) and/or Pension (where applicable), Paid Time Off, Education&Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets.
