Cambridge Center for Adult Education is hiring part-time instructors for the 2024 Fall term in the following areas: Literature Instructor: We are seeking a part-time literature instructor to teach literature classes from classic to contemporary literature starting in the Fall of 2024. We are specifically interested in a class focused on present best-seller lists, such as the New York Times best-seller list. Instructors should have a graduate degree, be scholars in their particular field, and create a clear curriculum for adult learners of diverse backgrounds. Ideally, the instructor is available on weekday evenings to teach in person. We continue to offer online courses at CCAE. Instructors are paid at an hourly rate, a rate dependent on experience. Qualifications: Demonstrable experience and success in teaching literature An ability to engage a diverse demographic of adult learners A graduate degree or higher in English, or well-read with the New York Times best seller list Familiar/comfortable with teaching adults in-person and/or online.
