Job Description Job Description Legal Administrative Assistant/Bookeeper Job Summary We are seeking an organized and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant/bookkeeper to join our team. You will be posting payments, answering phones, making phone calls, making copies, and organizing files, drafting correspondence and preparing monthly reconciliations and outgoing mail. You will also input information into our database to ensure our electronic files are updated. We prefer candidates who have some prior bookkeeping and administrative support experience, especially Quickbooks, but we are willing to train the right person. Health Claims experience, including workers' compensation claims experience a plus. Duties and Responsibilities Post payments and adjustments Prepare monthly reconciliations to clients and accountant Pay bills and order supplies Access client systems and make sure that the accounts match Support office staff and executives with clerical tasks Answer phones in a professional manner, including calls from insurance adjusters, patients and attorneys, and direct calls to appropriate persons or handle the issue directly Monitor and maintain office equipment and supplies; request repair or restocking when necessary Run reports using office software such as Microsoft Excel and trouble shoot discrepancies or supplement as necessary Make outgoing calls to insurance carriers for information and process paperwork as needed Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate 1 years of experience as an bookeeper/ administrative assistant a plus Fast, proficient, and accurate typist Proficient with Quickbooks, Microsoft Suite and common office equipment Excellent customer service and communication skills Self-starter who works well independently Professional, pleasant demeanor Company Description We are a small and fast-paced company with a friendly and dynamic staff Company Description We are a small and fast-paced company with a friendly and dynamic staff
