Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, preparing meeting materials, drafting reports, supporting plan development, creating presentations, conducting research, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities: Facilitating meetings with stakeholders and tracking action items Preparing agendas, meeting materials, and summaries Organizing and documenting outcomes of meetings and working groups Drafting reports and documents on homeland security topics Supporting the development of project work plans Creating presentations and briefing documents Researching and providing information on technical matters Assisting in policy matters and data visualization Maintaining positive relationships with coworkers and stakeholders Managing technical problems and assisting in hosting events Attending conferences and training sessions Minimum Requirements: Planner II: Bachelor’s degree with two years of office experience Planner III: Bachelor’s degree with three years of work experience in homeland security or related field Planner IV: Bachelor’s degree with five years of professional experience in emergency management or related fields Supervisory Responsibilities: Planner IV may include supervision of staff or project management. Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required. Critical Thinking/Reasoning Ability: Working knowledge of homeland security principles and ability to analyze technical documents. Computer Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign. Quality of Work/Organization: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate files. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Professional certification considered. Physical Demands: Ability to sit, use hands, and occasionally operate a motor vehicle. Work Environment: May require fieldwork and travel to various locations.
