A Nonprofit Organization located in NYC is seeking a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst processes Requisitions/ Purchase Orders related to Projects and investigates/ reconciles over a few thousand invoices related to projects. Responsibilities: Prepare Plant Fund, Grant&Renovation reports - providing status of each individual project, detailing budget, commitment&actual. Monthly G/L analysis of all OTPS and Plant Fund accounts. Analyze&report variances on overtime expenditures, monitoring performance by comparing Payroll's OT Differential Report vs. the Work Order Management System OT vs approved OT requests. Issue Long Range (20 year) Capital Plan. This includes maintaining&developing the database, editing&adding new capital projects and preparing reports for senior management. Projecting capital improvement costs over a 20-year period, totaling approximately $80 million. Support the Assistant Director with annual&mid-year budget preparation, including analysis of current expenditures for fiscal year end and proposed expenditures for the next fiscal year. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a Business-related discipline and 2-3 years of related experience is required. High level skill with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge of Banner Software a plus. Experience in Construction / Engineering a plus. Experience with budget management/monitoring. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Develops effective relationships with peers, students and employees. Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion. Identifies, defines and analyzes information and situations before recommending a course of action. Effectively manages own time and resources. Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems. Preferences: Experience with creating reports from excel, dashboards, work order or ticket order systems. Familiarity with AIA invoices. Any prior experience in construction finance.
