VCA Hood View Animal Hospital is looking to add an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to our team. We are looking for an experienced (1-year minimum) Veterinary Assistant to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education. Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assisting in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area. Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 4/10’s, Mon-Friday with rotating Saturdays. Closed Sundays and Holidays. Compensation: The pay range for this position is $19 – 21 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Location: 16317 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015 As a member of the VCA Hood View team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures. Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals. Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law). Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging. Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals. Maintaining medical records. Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed. Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
