Director of Strategic Support - Chief Programs Officer Downtown YMCA, Fort Worth, Texas, United States of America Job Description Posted Monday, May 6, 2024 at 5:00 AM | Expired Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 4:59 AM POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Director of Strategic Support will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Programs Officer (CPO) as well as the operations team of the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth. The position involves a wide range of administrative duties, project management, and strategic support functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills. This role requires the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. EXPERIENCE&BACKGROUND Proven experience in a support role, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide high-level administrative support to the CPO, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and preparing agendas and meeting minutes. Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and reports as needed. Coordinate travel arrangements for the CPO and other team members as required. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects and initiatives for the operations team. Monitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and within established deadlines. Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure successful project outcomes. Conduct research and analysis on various topics to support the CPO and the operations and impact team in decision-making processes. Assist in developing strategic plans and objectives for the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth. Help monitor progress toward strategic goals and provide updates to the CPO and the operations and impact team. Serve as a liaison between the CPO and internal/external stakeholders, including board members, community partners, and YMCA staff. Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Draft and distribute internal and external communications as directed by the CPO. Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices for the operations team. Support operational activities and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide general support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations across the organization. Plan and coordinate events such as board meetings, retreats, and other special events as directed by the CPO. Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and attendee coordination. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices relevant to the role and the YMCA's mission. Perform other duties as assigned by the CPO or other leadership team members. COMPENSATION&BENEFITS The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth offers a competitive salary and benefits package for selected candidates. The yearly salary range for this position is $48,000 - $52,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience. The YMCA provides competitive health, dental, and vision benefits.
