Job Description
Duties: – Oversee the daily operations of the butchery department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow – Manage a team of butchers and provide guidance and support as needed – Ensure that all meat products are prepared, cut, and packaged according to quality standards and customer specifications – Monitor inventory levels and place orders for meat products as needed – Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines – Collaborate with other departments to coordinate product availability and meet customer demands – Train new employees on proper butchery techniques and safety procedures – Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques in butchery Qualifications: – Previous experience in food production, kitchen, or culinary field, with a focus on butchery preferred – Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper preparation techniques – Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices – Excellent organizational and time management skills – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously – Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team – Effective communication skills, both verbal and written – Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time J-18808-Ljbffr
