Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience 5 years of professional or military experience Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements The Senior Business Development Manager builds compelling proposals and strategic business plans collaborating with and on behalf of AWS customers by working with stakeholders across Amazon business units and our GenAI Services team to create stronger customer value propositions. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building organizational capabilities and driving strategic change, developing scalable business models, building a diverse and inclusive work culture, and working with multiple stakeholders across Amazon. The leader will be responsible for piloting new collaborations, bringing products and solutions to market in partnership with our most strategic customers. By leveraging existing company-wide practices and bringing in external proven methodologies, this individual will build frameworks to foster collaboration, and drive net-new strategic initiatives that will allow AWS customers to achieve business value and leverage GenAI. The leader must demonstrate a strong ability to build trust and confidence with account, service and business development teams, stakeholders, and influence change across geographies. The person needs to work with senior leaders to create and achieve the team’s vision in alignment with Amazon’s global standards, policies, and procedures. The Sr. Manager must be an effective communicator; send clear, concise, and consistent written and verbal messages. The person will be required to identify and incorporate best practices into our standards to improve processes continuously. The person must possess excellent program management skills, relevant operational background, and should have worked on partnerships that drove business adoption. The individual must have the ability to work with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, all over the globe. A successful candidate must be a high-judgement leader, inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. They must be willing to roll up their sleeves and build with us. Key Job Responsibilities: Lead and program manage strategic partnership engagements typically from scoping and executive alignment through to the signing of partnership agreements. This requires working with executives, technical teams, builders and buyers to drive towards positive outcomes, oftentimes within white space. Support customer EBCs/EVs, workshops, draft narratives and partnership plans, and align teams on common goals. The GenAI Strategic Pursuits team is laser focused on driving big outcomes with our most strategic customers. This includes innovating with some of our most agile customers, and sometimes working with legacy companies to innovate on the cloud for the first time. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market.
