Job Summary The Assistant Dean and Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Analytics must be diplomatic, resourceful, and flexible to manage the various stakeholders and interest groups throughout the Biological Sciences Division, as well as the larger University and UCM. Responsibilities Strategic Planning Lead Teams and Deliver Insights that leverage our matrixed organization. Lead the ten-year and annual strategic planning process for the BSD and annual updates, including scenario planning. Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies that align with organizational goals and long-term vision. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. Work with business units to identify performance gaps and develop strategies to address them. Establish and maintain a robust performance management framework to track and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefs, ensuring clarity and strategic insight. Analytics&Reporting Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes. Oversee the development and execution of advanced analytical models to support decision-making. Utilize data and analytical capabilities to interpret and analyze project-related data. Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefs ensuring clarity and strategic insight. Lead and support cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects. Perform other related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications Education: Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field. Work Experience: Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 10 years of work experience in a related job discipline. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Led and implemented continuous process improvement. Demonstrated experience in highly matrixed organizations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive decision making.
