The Northlands Job Corps center operates the most advanced technical training Welding Program in the state. We are seeking a talented Welding Instructor to join our team. Responsibilities: Provide instruction in welding techniques and safety. Train students in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes. Assist students in achieving certification. Maintain a safe and effective learning environment. Qualifications: Three years of direct welding experience; five years preferred. Must possess, or obtain, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW certifications within six months of hire. Certified Welding Instructor or Inspector highly preferred. The Northlands Job Corps Center in Vergennes is a residential (some non-residential) technical training school for 16-24 year olds from primarily economically challenged backgrounds. Our campus has one of the most diverse student bodies in Vermont, with a mix of both in-state and out-of-state students. Our welding graduates enjoy a 100% placement rate with average first-year wages slightly above that of first-year college graduates.
