This role requires the ability to accurately weld fabricated components and perform welds in various positions – flat, horizontal, vertical up and down. Essential Functions: Produce high-quality products using wire feed welding and other intermediate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Sets up and operates various welding equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Adhere to company and department safety and work practice policies and procedures Maintains a clean and organized work area. Accurately records material and job order transactions as directed. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Attends training as directed as apparent or assigned. Performs all other duties as apparent or assigned Secondary Functions: Moves product using pallet jack or forklift (if certified). Assists in the fabrication department as directed. Operates various machines as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Required 3 years of welding experience or combination of vocational certification and equivalent experience. Pass a Welder II test. Proven ability to work independently. Requires ability to respond quickly to priority changes and work well under pressure due to scheduling constraints, and perform quality work in a safe and efficient manner Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate with other personnel in English. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment. Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required. Ability to perform Machine Operator duties when required.
