VOLUNTEER SOCIAL CAR DRIVERS Epping Forest&Harlow Community Transport is a service meeting the needs of local people who, for various reasons, are unable to use conventional public transport. Our charity offers transportation across the community to the elderly, disabled, rurally isolated individuals, accessing education, and much more, providing a lifeline in both rural and urban areas. You would be required to take passengers to their destinations and possibly stay with them if they needed you to. Skills As a Volunteer Social Car Driver, you should possess the following skills: Clean driving license. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic regulations. Good communication and 'people' skills. An awareness of disability needs. Good organisational skills. Map reading and route planning skills. Patience and empathy with passengers.
