When not performing anesthesia for your assigned surgeon, you will assist the other surgeons in the surgery department as well as the anesthesia service. You will practice the highest quality of anesthetic monitoring care for the patients of the MSPCA and work in conjunction with a team of doctors, technicians, and visitors maintaining a positive enthusiastic attitude in this fast-paced team-oriented environment. You must be reliable, independent, able to multitask, and excel in interpersonal communication skills. Some Responsibilities Include: Perform all anesthesia cases for your assigned surgeon with guidance from the anesthesiologists. Utilize technical and clinical knowledge learned in order to effectively assess, monitor, and stabilize all surgical cases. Demonstrate and model advanced anesthesia skills. Communicate and work closely with all staff members and visitors. Assist in the training process for new and current employees. Physical Requirements: Able to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to move patients weighing up to 22 kgs repeatedly; over 22 kgs with assistance.
