Our client, a 600 bed healthcare facility located about an hour from Spartanburg, SC, and 45 minutes from Greenville, has a need for a Vascular Tech to join their team. They are offering $5000 as a sign on bonus or relocation assistance. The Vascular Sonographer II is responsible for performing non-invasive vascular procedures including ultrasound and physiologic vascular testing on patients of every age in accordance to the IAC and SVU recommended guidelines. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting physicians in procedures such as thrombin injection and must be knowledgeable in all equipment and supplies that are used in the department. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED with registry certification OR is currently enrolled in or graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Cardiovascular Technology program. Current Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) registry certification from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or registry eligible. Bonus if incumbent also carries a RDCS/RCS registry certification or is RDCS/RCS registry eligible. If not currently registered, incumbent must obtain RVT or RVS registry within six months from date of hire. Clinical experience or instruction in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging and experience in a non-invasive cardiovascular lab preferred. Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images and store and retrieve digital images as required.
