The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an US Federal Agencies Key Account Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) solutions to meet customer requirements for Personal Safety Division products sold to the US Federal Government. The role will focus on selling 3M Peltor, 3M Scott, and other 3M PSD PPE products. Develop and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within Federal Government Agencies. Create and communicate strategic initiatives to achieve short, medium, and long-term sales goals by identifying and developing key customer opportunities within Federal Government Agencies. Comprehensive understanding of government funding and ability to leverage and standardize solutions agency wide working simultaneously with 3M field resources. Maintain proficiency as a subject matter expert on 3M Peltor and 3M Scott portfolio products. Leverage strategic channel relationships and drive customer engagement plans for key customers. Achievement of forecast goals for 3M Peltor, 3M Scott, and 3M PSD products sold into key customers. Provide training and support to end users and channel partners for PSD product portfolios sold to assigned customers. Work cross functionally with Application Engineers, Marketing, and focused Integrators to meet customers product needs and identifying external market trends. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires ( at a minimum ) the following qualifications: High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Three (3) years of honorable service in a private, public, government or military environment Current, valid Driver’s License Accessibility to US military bases and Federal Agency offices. Work location: Must reside within the national capital region: Washington DC, Southern Maryland, Northern Virginia and within 1 hour proximity of a commercial airport. Travel: May include up to 75% domestic Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
