Urgent need for Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Johnson City, TN Location. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs. Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including spinal taps when necessary. Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments. Provide education and counseling to patients regarding health management, medication administration, and preventive care. Participate in utilization review processes to ensure appropriate patient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and communication. Provide emergency medicine support as needed, ensuring timely interventions for critical situations. Shift Schedule: 6:30 am-6:30 shift • Call Schedule/Responsibilities: No call • Type of Patients/Cases: Trauma patients, acute care • Patients per Day/Volume: 12-16 patients/day on average with the total number going up with consults/traumas that come in • Life Certifications/Qualifications required (to include specific board): ATLS, ACLS, PALS • Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified: Board Certified • EMR: Epic • Support Staff: Attendings • IMLC State: Yes • Trauma Level: 1 • License: Active or IMLC .
