Hours: Part-Time/24 hours (This is a benefits eligible position).
Shift: Days, 1st shift
Shift Details: 9:30am-6:00pm - 2 weekdays (flexible with days) and every Saturday required
Position Summary:
The Pathologists' Assistant, under general direction, collects and prepares surgical specimens for examination; dictates gross anatomic features of specimens; assists with dissection and preparation of tissue sections; photographs organs and specimens; dictates clinical summaries and gross autopsy findings; assists in preparation of preliminary diagnoses; assists in and oversees proper maintenance and operation of instruments and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree
ASCP certification as a Pathologist Assistant
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years’ of relevant experience, to include Frozen Sections
Knowledge of current AP Laboratory Information System
