We also offer tuition waivers for employees and dependents. UI Health is seeking a Supply/Equipment Supervisor to join our SCB Endoscopy Lab. This role will be responsible for ordering supplies for the GI lab and providing coverage to the Operating Room Supply Supervisor. Duties&Responsibilities: Manage supply orders for the operating room, GI Lab, and Sterile Processing department. Assure necessary implants are accurately ordered and monitor shipments for arrival and backorders. Monitor inventory management for supplies for surgical cases daily, weekly, and monthly. Participate in supply and capital inventory planning as requested. Tissue tracking and management. Medical equipment and device management. Communicate with requesting services to discuss options and rationale when requests cannot be accommodated. Under the leadership of the Deputy Director of Perioperative Services, develop a business plan to implement organizational goals and standards related to supply replenishment and medical equipment management. Perform cycle counts and procure additional equipment as needed. Annually assist in the coordination of physical inventory. Utilize statistical data to assess, implement, assign, and evaluate staffing requirements to meet or exceed established customer satisfaction and departmental quality indicators. Develop a staffing plan that meets all fixed and variable requirements, setting assignment priorities and deploying staff as needed. Provide a staffing plan that complies with budgetary guidelines. Schedule needs to be flexible to attend departmental meetings and meetings with the Deputy Director of Perioperative Services as needed. Participate in the selection of new employees and provide orientation, training, and ongoing assessment of skills and performance for all staff. Monitor staff performance and submit status reports; promote positive employee recognition. Coordinate or assist in the activities of the operation with the purchasing function; recommend material or equipment purchases to the Deputy Director of Perioperative Services. Assist in the orientation of new employees to each work assignment area and total department operations. Recommend or establish policies, procedures, and methods to maintain or improve standards of operations in the receipt, storage, processing, issuance, delivery, and acquisition of supplies. Develop an internal and external disaster response plan and provide ongoing staff training. Ensure compliance with Environment of Care procedures. Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments. Provide general and direct supervision to employees, approve time off, and create work schedules. Participate in project meetings and report on progress. Troubleshoot Par Excellence system. Select, administer, and document progressive and corrective disciplinary measures. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required: Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months) from the categories below: A. College coursework in business administration, accounting, finance, operations management, or a closely related field: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) B. Progressively more responsible work experience in business or materials management functions (such as accounting, sales management, purchasing, stores/warehousing, and/or materials distribution). One (1) year (12 months) of responsible work experience in business or materials management functions.
