Student TA - PRJ-2000 and 2001 Game&Cinematic Production (Ortega, Mosio, McCubbin), F24 Student Employment at DigiPen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job. Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early. Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted. Reports to : Chris Mosio Class Times: Mondays – 2:00-3:50 p.m. Fridays – 1:00-4:00 p.m. Duties and Responsibilities Assisting students in labs. Assisting students with Unreal Engine processes when they encounter problems. Meeting students online, if required for additional tutelage. Classroom setup, such as moving lighting or camera equipment from Rembrandt to our classroom. Providing constructive feedback in the grading to the students. Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked. Job Purpose: Provide support and assistance to Sophomore game or cinematic students in one or more of the following subjects: Unreal Engine for Cinematic Project I Character and environment asset importing into engine Production management Managing team dynamics and communications Primary Duties and Responsibilities Advise students regarding topics on preproduction for cinematic film, real-time cinematic production pipeline, 3D modeling, production management, or team dynamics. Be able to answer questions during class labs when faculty is not available. Be available for a set number of hours outside of regular class time. Work within team channels or Moodle to offer critique and feedback. Assist with any team space, hardware/software issues as directed by the faculty. Provide encouragement and advice based on personal experience. Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked. Qualifications/Competencies Proficiency in one or more of the following subjects: - Unreal Engine 5.2 or above - 3D Character creation - 3D Environment creation - Concept design - Storyboarding Able to give critique in a professional manner. Kind, reliable, punctual, and invested in the success of their fellow students. Be able to work independently. Expected number of hours per week: 10 Wage Range: $16.28 - 17.25 per hour , depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen Requirements to Apply: Resume Current Semester Academic Schedule Working Conditions: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements: Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology. Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Have taken and passed PRJ-2000 and -2001 with a B or better.
