Description Sterile Processing Technician at Mission Hospital Mission Viejo. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts. Schedule can be discussed during the interview. Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure. Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory. Performs and interprets data from daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization and all associated documentation. Assist in training and orientation of new staff. Is proficient in required competencies. High-Level Disinfection: Under the general supervision of the High-Level Disinfection Supervisor, the technician processes all fiber-optic endoscopes, video endoscopes, Endocavity probes, TEE probes, and all other equipment requiring high-level disinfection utilized by the operating room and ancillary departments. The High-Level Disinfection Technician II performs at a more advanced level acting as a preceptor to others. Performs daily high-level disinfection, biological monitoring, and all associated documentation. Is proficient in required competencies. Pay Range: $23.00 - $31.52 The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
