Staff Accountant Location: Morristown NJ Salary: to $75K plus bonus Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant with corporate accounting experience. Exposure to ASC842 a plus. What will be expected of you as Staff Accountant? · Perform general ledger month end close including review of related accounts, and identifying and preparing journal entries and posting updates in the accounting system · Review contracts to identify leases and summarize key terms; enter new leases into the system · Partner with internal stakeholder to ensure proper accounting treatment · Perform monthly account reconciliations to the G/L · Prepare monthly/quarterly schedules in accordance with GAAP · Record amortization and depreciation · Assist with some special projects What qualifies you for this Staff Accountant position? · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting · 2 years of experience in general accounting · NetSuite experience a plus At WatsonBarron, we share a philosophy when it comes to recruiting - focus on people.
