Williamsport North Rehabilitation Nursing Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated therapy team. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech therapy services to patients, helping them regain their communication and swallowing skills. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care through assessments, individualized treatment plans, and collaborative teamwork. This role is essential for improving patients' quality of life by restoring their functional communication and swallowing abilities. Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Primary Job Responsibilities: Perform therapy interventions using standard speech-language therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient’s condition. Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress or challenges to the supervisor, interdisciplinary team, and physicians as needed. Assist with patient scheduling and post charges to patient records daily, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Educate and train patients, families, and nursing staff on follow-through programs to support patient rehabilitation and therapy goals. Maintain equipment and therapy areas in a safe, organized, and clean manner, adhering to facility protocols and safety standards. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for licensure). Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but Clinical Fellows will be considered. CPR certification. Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting is preferred.
