What You’ll Do Optimize expedite activity and determine the most optimal mode of transit based on customer requirements. Create new air charter requests, entering all relevant information into Ascent system for charter mode of transit. Confidently review cargo and freight documentation with service providers in order to validate accuracy and relevance to air charter movement. Effectively communicate quote requests to the customer via phone or email, including all timing and cost aspects. Communicate requirements to various aircraft providers for booking aircraft for charter activity. Maintain compliance with Ascent procedures and establish accurate timelines for scheduling trucking and ground handling services. Identify issues related to air charter activity and effectively escalate both internally and externally. Maintain awareness and visualize shipment activity to ensure compliance with milestone management details. Read, comprehend, understand, and validate all documents necessary for air charter activity. Utilize various reporting mechanisms to generate documents related to air charter activity. Complete general shipment auditing functions and maintain a basic understanding of required documentation. Effectively manage all channels of communication utilized within the Ascent air charter operation. Document the various events throughout the air charter lifecycle using standardized templates. What You’ll Bring High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 1 year of customer service experience required. Ability to complete a Security Threat Assessment (STA) in accordance with TSA. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel preferred. Basic geography knowledge preferred. Capability to pay attention to detail while multi-tasking. Solid communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency. Ability to remain calm during adverse conditions.
