Position Overview: Provide leadership for operations staff responsible for the overall operation of the plant. Monitors plant operations, anticipates and identifies operational constraints and appropriates company resources as needed to achieve operational goals. The position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who engenders trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency and assures consistent achievement of quality standards. The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly. The work schedule will be a 12 hour shift, rotating days, nights and weekends. Extended work hours are required during a plant shut down or as needed. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Certificate in process or power plant technology vocational education or equivalent with a minimum of two years of experience performing plant operator duties or equivalent combination of education and experience in plant operations Valid driver’s license Ability to work as needed which includes nights, weekends, and holidays Employee must currently (or be willing to) live within 1 hour drive time from plant location Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in ethanol production Supervisory experience that includes training and directing work Previous experience as a lead operator Experience improving process systems or lean manufacturing practices Able to review and interpret drawings and manuals Great salary, health care, 401k and PTO bank effective your first day.
