Job Description Position Summary: Life-sciences focused Systems Engineer to provide support of general IT Infrastructure escalations and technical expertise in support of various computer and software systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent end-user IT support for business users Escalation point for IT Infrastructure issues that are not resolved via normal support channels. Acts as an interface between business and IT Infrastructure. Coordinate with various onsite and offshore Infrastructure teams to ensure issues are driven to resolution Support the Discovery and CMCC labs Build and maintain a working relationship with business groups and IT Teams and Management Interact with Vendors and IT Infrastructure/Architecture to understand system requirements, architect, and implement high quality, low maintenance solutions Technical resource to support configuration, deployment, maintenance, enhancements and upgrades. Troubleshoot issues as necessary. Develop and maintain high quality documentation including Configuration and Design documents, Installation and Operational Qualifications, training materials, etc. and execute validation test scripts System Administrator for a suite of office and lab system software applications Follow processes established by CLIENT IT and required by FDA CFR Part 11 for administration of GxP systems Required Experience/Qualifications: At least 5 years’ experience supporting validated and non-validated systems and software Solid understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts. Solid understanding of Operating System security concepts. Solid understanding of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management. Strong track record of effective project management and project delivery. Hands-on service skills and oral/written communications skills a must Experienced engineer with strong expertise in the area of analytical and preparative chromatography Experience working with diverse analytical software and lab instrumentation Strong problem-solving skills Ability to maintain high quality: attention to detail, deployment of robust and reliable systems requiring low maintenance, thorough testing of solutions. Methodical in approach with excellent organization skills and eye for detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: oral and written communication, ability to work collaboratively and comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment. Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Processes Experience with Windows administration BS with 5 years’ experience or MS with 3 years’ experience in Engineering/Computer Science/Life Science.
