Senior Software Engineer Zurich North America is currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work in our Schaumburg, IL North America Headquarters. The ideal candidate will report to the Head of Business Intelligence and User Experience. Responsibilities: Developing web-based UIs incorporating UX features based on business needs/demand Working with the software development team to design UI/UX framework for various application features and consumption patterns Building and maintaining a library of UI/UX components that can be reused across various applications Incorporating logging and tracking of application usage and user interactions to support monitoring of applications Utilizing and calling APIs from various services, researching appropriate SDKs and architecting/solutioning how to utilize the output to connect into the end product based on business needs Deploying cloud-based solutions in Azure using Docker Collaborating with fellow Agile scrum team members and peers in design/solutioning and roadmap sessions Collaborating with fellow software engineers to discuss and develop best practices Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area AND Experience assisting with design, coding benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs Experience working with multiple phases of software systems programming applications Experience working with multiple programming languages Preferred Qualifications: Solid expertise developing single page applications and prototypes using React, Angular, or similar technologies Experience in web analytics, front end testing frameworks/automated testing Experience in consuming APIs from various services and internal solutions Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, solution architects, product owners/managers, business partners Excellent communication skills, being able to brainstorm solutions with peers, translate business requirements into technical requirements, demo prototypes to business partners, highlighting meaningful enhancements based on prior requirements Location(s): AM - Schaumburg Remote Working: Hybrid Schedule: Full Time Employment Sponsorship Offered: Yes J-18808-Ljbffr
