Description We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the U.S. ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect to support upcoming needs with our federal customers. Our Digital Modernization Division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client’s business. The Team: The Application Development Sustainment Services (ADSS) team supports Treasury Enterprise Application (EA) platform systems that are critical to the success of the Department of Treasury IT mission. The ADSS program provides contractor support for both Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities and Development and Modernization (DM&E) efforts. Job Responsibilities We seek a Senior ServiceNow Architect - HRSD to assist our customers’ business needs with HR system integration to the ServiceNow platform. This role will be a key member of the development Team, overseeing the implementation and technical strategy supporting the ServiceNow HRSD platform, associated processes, and external system integration. You will be responsible for developing a strong understanding of the project's technical guardrails and guiding the development teams toward best practices while understanding the business needs of the stakeholders and how the ServiceNow application will support those needs. This architect role will partner with development and IT partners to build, document, and test ServiceNow HRSD. You will also provide technical feedback to the development team on an ongoing basis. The Senior ServiceNow Architect serves as a translator between technical teams and the client’s IT community to collect, clarify, analyze, and translate IT requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed. This position is within the context of an Agile team employing a Scrum development framework. The Architect provides solution and implementation input to detailed stories and epics, with applicable acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owners and ICF’s technology team, and participates in meetings with client and internal technical and operational teams as well as change mgmt. This position will be working directly with IT stakeholders and the development team, serving in both lead developer and strategic architect roles, and must be able to communicate effectively via phone and web conferencing as all of the stakeholders work remotely. In addition to supporting all phases of the project, this position will also be responsible for authoring content and peer-reviewing a wide array of documents, including functional, technical, training as well as marketing, and proposals. Position Description As a Senior ServiceNow Architect, you play a critical, technical leadership role within our ServiceNow Practice and across our client space. You are responsible for leading the design, implementation, and delivery of complex and innovative ServiceNow and cross-technology solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership capabilities to drive the success of our projects, mentor junior team members, and foster growth in our technical acumen and our service revenue. Your responsibilities include: Solution Design and Architecture: Lead collaboration with clients, internal stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to drive requirements definition, create a shared understanding of business processes, and design robust and scalable ServiceNow and integrated technology solutions. Create certainty in the solution when there is client ambiguity, and lead the client to informed architectural sound solutions. Create detailed technical designs that align with the client's short- and long-term needs and leverage the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and integrations with third-party technologies effectively. Technical Consultation: Serve as the trusted advisor to clients, partners, and project teams, providing expert guidance on ServiceNow capabilities, customization options, integrations, and best practices. Lead the early identification and communication of potential delivery challenges and lead the design of innovative solutions to address them. Implementation Support: Lead collaboration with project managers, developers, and other teams to support the implementation of ServiceNow solutions. Provide technical oversight and ensure that the design is accurately translated into a functional solution. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development teams to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to ICF and ServiceNow-established best practices and processes. Integration and Automation: Design and oversee the integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications to create seamless workflows and automate business processes. Ensure data consistency and integrity across different platforms. Document data and integration plans, roadmaps, and strategies. Performance Optimization: Design performance analysis and optimization best practices to enhance the overall efficiency and responsiveness of ServiceNow and integrated solutions across the Practice. Identify and address bottlenecks to improve system performance. Quality Assurance: Design quality assurance plans, testing strategies, and implementation methodologies to ensure that the technical deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices. Resource Management: Work closely with resourcing, practice leadership, and program management to ensure that the appropriately certified, trained, and experienced resources are working on projects. Identify and communicate with Practice leadership any talent gaps and propose solutions to address the gaps. Project Management: Work hand-in-hand with project managers to keep projects within scope and timeline. Brief practice leadership and clients on the status of projects, and support deployment registrations to maintain ServiceNow partner status. Security and Compliance: Design the security plan and ensure that all ServiceNow and integrated solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures and maintain a secure environment. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive technical design documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations and customization design specifications, data models, integrations, workflow specifications, and implementation guidelines. Drive contributions to the knowledge base and share best practices within the team and the Practice. Lead the sharing of knowledge across the practice, including white papers, demonstrations, and lunch and learns. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of and be a leader on the latest advancements in ServiceNow and integrated technologies, tools, and industry trends. Continuously enhance your expertise to provide cutting-edge solutions and innovative approaches. Client Relationships: Build trusting relationships with clients through effective communication, by understanding their needs, and by delivering high-quality solutions that exceed their expectations. Identify their needs before they realize them and provide strong guidance that supports their desired outcomes without incurring unnecessary technical debt. Mentorship and coaching: Foster growth of our ServiceNow talent pool by targeting career pathways for teammates that align with business objectives; identify, mentor, and coach individuals ready for greater responsibilities; and tailor growth plans for those in need. Contribute to the enhancement of architectural best practices, design patterns, development frameworks, and other relevant processes. Strategic Relationships: Foster enduring relationships between ICF, the ServiceNow product and sales teams, and our clients, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Facilitate collaboration and issue resolution between all parties. Business Strategy: Serve as the unequivocal expert in our Practice’s strategic initiatives. Propose innovative solutions that leverage emerging technologies and methodologies; design the implementation framework and plans to ensure repeatable, quality, and delivery; and support marketing and sales go-to-market strategies. Corporate Growth: Contribute to the growth of the business. Lead the development of client roadmaps to identify and foster new opportunities for ICF services and ServiceNow license sales. Present proposed solutions to potential clients, explaining the technical details in a clear and understandable manner. This may involve interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with the proposal teams and create compelling proposals and oral presentations that outline the technical aspects of the solution, including implementation plans, timelines, and cost estimates, and ensure that the proposed solutions address all the specific requirements outlined in the solicitation documents. Required Experiences and Certifications 8 years of experience implementing or architecting ServiceNow solutions 8 years of experience in the development, operations, and/or maintenance of integrated IT systems/applications. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certified in three or more additional mainline certifications, with preference for the following: Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Human Resources CIS – Customer Service Management CIS – IT Service Management CIS – Discovery CIS – Service Mapping CIS – Application Portfolio Management CIS – Software Asset Management CIS – Hardware Asset Management US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to federal contract requirements. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust. MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply. Valuable Skills for this Role The ideal candidate will also have: 5 years of working experience with ServiceNow modules like Service Portal, App Engine, SPM, and HR Service Delivery. Hands-on experience (>480 hours each) implementing or architecting 24 or more ServiceNow applications. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect Vast experience across numerous parts of the ServiceNow platform and experience with commonly integrated third-party technologies Excellence in scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript) and other relevant languages Excellence in designing and leading complex solutions and integrations Excellent understanding of system architecture and design principles. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
