Position Summary Fully competent in one or more scientific/technical areas. Plans and conducts scientific assignments requiring mastery of specialized techniques. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Familiarity with analytical instrumentation including UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman and more. Industry experience in UV polymer curing and characterization. Strong understanding of chemical processes and their application to electrochemical sensors. Preference for degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related fields. Flexibility to collaborate with multiple teams and adapt to changing priorities. Applies scientific method and experimental design in problem solving. Uses scientific expertise to provide solutions to a broad range of difficult problems. Performs complicated or demanding assignments requiring specialized knowledge. Defines short and mid-term objectives and implements plan to accomplish objectives. May direct the work of other personnel. Maintains accurate, precise, and legible laboratory notebooks. Handles broad assignments and objectives under minimal supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Knowledge&Experience Required: Education: Knowledge acquired through a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. Degree. Experience: Bachelor’s plus 7 years of relevant experience or Master’s plus 5 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. plus 0 - 1 year of experience. Product or project specific experience may be a substitute for higher degree. Additional Skills/Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills. Duties require broad use and application of scientific principles, theories and concepts in field of expertise.
