Job Description Job Description Duties and Responsibilities to include: Acting as Hazen’s Resident Project Representative and conduct on-site observations during construction. Coordinate and communicate with multi-discipline Hazen teams, Owner, Contractor, and third-party inspection/testing firms. Review and interpret project specifications and plans. Must be capable of performing assigned office and/or field tasks without daily supervision. Able to review construction work onsite to ensure compliance with Contract Drawings and Specifications. Facilitates coordination and communication between Owner and Contractor to ensure construction activities do not impact Owner operations. Assists with construction administration documentation: Manage and prepare daily reports, verify material quantities, review payment applications, and prepare project correspondence/reports. RFI’s, RFC’s, field orders, claims, submittal/schedule review, and project meetings. Be a leader who is able to supervise and train Field Coordinators. Qualifications and Skills: 4 years of construction / construction observation experience. BS in engineering or construction management preferred but may be substituted by relevant experience; Engineer In Training (EIT) or Construction Manager In Training (CMIT - Construction Manager Certification Institute/CMCI) certification desirable. Familiarity with construction methods typical of civil, structural, and mechanical engineering, and construction materials testing. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Capable of reviewing and implementing project design plans and technical specifications. Proficient in computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
