Senior DevOps engineer - w2 only - onsite - Bedford, MA Qualifications Clear written and verbal communication Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team Over three years of experience in provisioning, operations, and management of AWS / GCP environments Demonstrated competency with Linux Systems Engineering, Networking and Infrastructure as code Experience in code development in at least one high-level programming language Knowledge of operating system administration Experience in creation of highly automated infrastructures Comprehensive knowledge regarding contemporary processes and methodologies for development and operations Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements Disaster Recovery design and deployment across regions and systems Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking Can prove success in learning new systems and adapting to changing or challenging conditions Linux, Docker and Kubernetes: 3 years Networking: 3 years DevOps engineer: 3 years AWS or GCP: 1 year minimum Responsibilities A DevOps Engineer manages and improves the communication between the operational and developmental sides of the software development process Their main duties include configuring production and pre-production compute resources, troubleshooting performance or functional issues, planning compute architecture and testing new ideas A DevOps Engineer must balance several roles in the development process, including coding, troubleshooting, testing and deployment They must also possess the communication and management skills needed to oversee and manage multiple teams continually working on updating sections of code, testing the updated sections and deploying them They must also be able to move seamlessly between networking, compute hardware, infrastructure as code, cloud and Kubernetes environments We are a collaborative engineering culture, your presence must make us better Guide teams in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software Enhance the company’s IT infrastructure security protocols Identify manual processes that can be automated Consider the organization’s entire IT infrastructure when making changes and improvements Maintain and improve the company’s cloud infrastructure Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS / GCP production systems Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes J-18808-Ljbffr
