Our Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer who will be a key driver to make this happen. You will work on projects that support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as we develop a next-generation analytics and reporting system that directly impacts healthcare quality. Responsibilities: Develop, modify, run, and test Airflow DAGs and/or Spark Applications interacting with Postgres, Redshift, Oracle databases Identify defects in the code and/or data Develop and run DBT tests Develop and run Automated Testing Scripts Data Engineering test plan generation. Understanding and testing of complex Data Models Implement/modify Jenkins CI/CD pipelines Validate csv output report files, both manual and Python automation integrated in Jenkins Reporting of validation results, Data Model output, Automation reporting Close interaction with Dev and business team on refinement, implementation, and execution of data items Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience as a data engineer, software developer, or tech lead. 2 years experience in SQL and Python code language Candidate must reside in the United States and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance; c andidate must have resided in the US 3 of the last 5 years. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years experience in: Database testing (DBT), Postgres, Redshift database, SQL, Apache Airflow DAG, Apache Spark, Python code language, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Jenkins (CI/CD), Git and GitHub for version control and management, Alembic database migration tool Bachelor's degree in Computer Science AWS certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Developer, Solution Architect, Data Analytics, or Database). Strong understanding of relational database and data warehousing concepts (e.g., OLAP, dimensional modeling). Prior experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid data. Experience with one or more BI tools, such as Superset, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Looker, etc. Prior experience working remotely full-time. Federal Government contracting work experience. Professional Skills: Strong technical communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently and collaboratively Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary Demonstrated time management skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Strong critical thinking, problem solving and structuring and analytical skills SAFe Experience a plus. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $84,533.00 - $143,706.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
