KR4 (£23,338 - £23,921) pro rata to £17,788 - £18,233 for 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm with 30 minutes break. Term time plus INSET days (39 weeks) We are recruiting 2 Teaching Assistants to work with named children. The special people we seek will be driven by a genuine desire to break down barriers for children who have Special Educational Needs and to ensure that they are not educationally disadvantaged or socially isolated as a result of their SEND needs. You will need to be caring, hardworking, willing to undergo training and most of all, enjoy working with children. The candidates we seek are/have: Experienced in supporting the inclusion, learning and development of children with Complex Special Educational Needs - experience of working with children for whom sustained focus may be a challenge would be a particular advantage. Determined to provide the very best outcomes for the children they work with. Able to maintain positive behaviour and strong relationships with pupils and colleagues. Has effective communication skills. Knows how to support children's Reading, Writing and Maths knowledge and skills effectively. Able to work closely with class teachers to promote learning and achievement. Able to work closely with the SENDCo to coordinate suitable, personalised provision. Supervise children at more unstructured times of the school day, engaging them in games and social skills activities. Demonstrate a willingness to take on board advice in order to develop further.
