Job Description The Installation Security Technician is primarily responsible for installing and replacing alarm, camera, and access systems. A desired candidate works effectively and professionally with little supervision, has management and leadership ability, excellent communication skills, and is consistently looking out for the customer's best interest. What You'll Do Install security systems per provided job scopes Provide preventive maintenance of equipment and/ or systems Install and service access control systems Install and service IP based camera systems Install and service alarm systems Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints Effectively communicate equipment issues and potential solutions on work performed to customers Explain and train customers on effective utilization of equipment and/ or systems Efficiently and accurately update and complete customer files, including but not limited to customer contacts, work orders, parts utilized, and work performed Promptly and professionally respond to customer questions and concerns Understand and maintain compliance with company and customer safety program Maintain all applicable certifications for necessary products serviced by company Ability to lead, train, mentor and/ or coach less experienced technicians Perform other related duties as assigned or required What You'll Bring Valid driver's license High School Diploma/ GED 3 years prior security work experience Commercial experience Able to work flexible hours including after-hours, nights, and weekends Able to travel to multiple job sites each day How You Will Be Successful Access control installation and servicing experience – knowledge in S2 and Brivo a plus Experience with installation of controller, reader, contact, REX and electrified door hardware Commercial alarm system installation&servicing experience – knowledge in DMP, Honeywell and DSC systems a plus Camera system installation experience, including network camera systems – knowledge in Exacq, Wave VMS a plus CAT5/6 network termination skills High precision/ detail-oriented Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently, with little supervision Works effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job Special Considerations S2 training Brivo training DMP training IP / Network knowledge Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Benefits Weekly Pay Medical Dental Vision Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) matching The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
