Job Description - SDC - Specialty Account Administrator (2400429) Founded in 1934, Medical Mutual is the oldest and one of the largest health insurance companies based in Ohio. Responsibilities Maintains client records for assigned groups working directly with clients and/or through broker relationships. Responsible for completing a number of group onboarding tasks (new group implementation and benefit change) including gathering completed paperwork and required data elements to complete the account worksheet, ensuring enrollment is sent to Membership, delivering and securing signed SDC group contract. Monitors shared SDC email inbox, incoming service phone calls, and online chats. Responds to inquiries and handles problem resolution promptly and professionally. Serve as client subject matter expert for in-depth knowledge of products, services and industry best practices to effectively consult with clients and brokers. Assist with employee enrollment meetings to employer groups. Represents SDC at association meetings, trade shows (booths, exhibits) and other functions as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Associates degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience in a Client Service or client-facing position in the insurance or other industries. Professional Certification(s): License to sell Life and Health in designated service area (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) is preferred. Must be willing to maintain current licensure by attending continuing education courses as required by Ohio Department of Insurance. Technical Skills and Knowledge: Ability to develop full understanding of company history/philosophy and services provided. Knowledge of ACT Database software; Microsoft Office – primarily Word, Excel, Outlook. Others within MS Office helpful but not required. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, discounts, commissions pro-rata. Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Performs work in an office setting with moderate levels of noise, sitting for long periods of time, employing repetitive motion using computers and phones, and with exposure to fluorescent lighting.
