Closing Date: 12/07/2024 Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty Workstudy Position: No Job Type: Less than Annual Appointment (Fixed Term) Sponsorship Available: No Institution Name: Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas Department: High School Concurrent Programs Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Teach common courses basic to all medical professionals, following the State frameworks and UAC's syllabi, to high school students enrolled in Secondary Career Center courses. This position will coordinate instruction with the lead instructor and follow UA Cossatot's policies and procedures. Class hours of instruction are from 8:00 am to 9:30 am and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Applicants may teach one or both classes. Qualifications: Associate degree preferred with a major related to health occupations License Practical Nurse preferred Must have a post-secondary course in Anatomy and Physiology Must have 2 years' experience in health care system and professional licensure Must pass State of Arkansas and FBI Background Checks, and the Child Maltreatment Central Registry CPR certification strongly recommended COMPENSATION: $400 per credit hour; 12.5 credit hours for each course; 2 courses available each semester (up to $20,000 year); paid in 6 payments throughout each semester.
