Japanese laser-based cutting and welding machine manufacturer seeks a sales representative. Sales Representative Position Summary: The sales representative’s main responsibilities are developing new customers for machine sales and following up with existing and potential customers in the automotive and other industries. This position requires project management and communication with our parent company in Japan where the machines are manufactured. Primary Responsibilities Business Development Find new business (new customers) directly or collaborate with machine distributors. Make phone calls, emails, and visit customer prospects and distributors. Research new markets and customers. Develop relationships with machine distributors. Focus on new users of Komatsu NTC products such as machining centers, special purpose machines, grinding machines, battery equipment, and others for automotive, aerospace, medical, and other industries. Following up with customers and distributors Follow up on ongoing projects and report any related issues and customer and distributor requests to management. Communicate with the sales/engineering department in Japan. Travel to customer sites, distributors, and the plant in Japan. Make presentations to customers and distributors. Project Management Ensure the progress of the projects and make necessary arrangements. Reporting Report sales activities to the management team (weekly, monthly, and anytime when requested). Report any issues, inquiries, and customer requests to the manager and appropriate departments in the parent company in Japan.
