Location: Erickson Senior Living Join our team as a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder&Educator. You'll review medical records, validate diagnosis codes, conduct provider audits, analyze coding patterns, and provide education and training to ensure accurate reimbursement and improve care quality. Perform medical record audits for quality assurance and accuracy of ICD-10 code assignment Analyze data to detect patterns and develops/implements action plans to address identified concerns Develop educational material and provide oversight, guidance, and training to clinicians related to CMS guidelines and HCC best practices. Conduct training through the use of web sessions and/or in-person meetings at the provider’s location of employment. Use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Provide technical assistance to the Claims Billing Office (CBO) staff and respond to inquiries from providers in the field who need coding assistance. What you will need Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital or physician setting as a medical coder required Minimum 3 years hands-on coding experience in the Risk Adjustment environment Experience in teaching, training, or another instructor role preferred Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable.
