Description: Role Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced group facilitator to lead a retreat for our Board of Directors. The goal of the retreat is to foster team building, establish PePo's values, and engage in strategic planning for the current fiscal year. Role responsibilities include: Create a safe and welcoming space for Board members to engage in open and honest dialogue Facilitate group discussions and activities focused on team building, vulnerability, and cohesion Guide the group in establishing PePo's core values Support the Board in developing strategic plans for the current fiscal year Manage difficult conversations and de-escalate situations with sensitivity and tact Respond to participants' triggers and provide emotional support Incorporate principles of racial justice and class consciousness into the retreat About Us Panethnic Pourovers (PePo) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit café library, community center, and third space. Our mission is to focus on fighting racism and capitalism through the centering of resources, education, and art reflective of underrepresented identities and cultures. We represent and advocate for the Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI), BIPOC, and queer communities in the Greater Boston Area. Website: https://www.panethnicpourovers.org/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/panethnicpourovers Qualifications: Proven experience as a group facilitator or a related field Strong understanding of racial justice, class consciousness, and social equity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create a safe and inclusive environment for diverse participants Strong facilitation skills, including active listening, questioning, and summarizing Experience leading workshops or retreats on team building, strategic planning, or related topics The duration of the retreat will span over an entire weekend (full day Saturday&full day Sunday). Dates have not yet been finalized and we will work with you to find a weekend that fits your schedule. This is a one-time contract position.
