Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%) Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education. (20%) Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%) Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program. Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or TPP. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). BLS upon hire. Preferred Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT). 1 year experience in a hospital setting.
