Position Summary You do not have to have previous instrument repair experience to be considered. This is an entry-level job - we will train you This is a remote-based customer-facing position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory, candidates must be based out of Texas. What You Will Do: Perform basic to intermediate inspection and repairs on surgical instrumentation using grinding wheels, buffing wheels, various hand and power tools, soldering, etc. Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will help you be successful in this role. You will work in the field on a mobile repair truck, inside a repair lab, or inside a hospital, based on the needs of the Customer within the assigned territory. You must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time. Provide support at various locations within the assigned territory depending on the service agreements, Customer needs, and staffing levels. What Can STERIS Offer You? All experience must be verifiable. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150 pounds. Must be able to meet flexible schedules with early/late hours and sometimes outside normal business hours, including nights and weekends. Must be a minimum of 21 years old with the ability to achieve and maintain FMCSA and driver’s license requirements. Must be able to pass a DOT medical/physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and maintain required vaccines. What is Relevant Work Experience? Relevant experience may include hands-on repair, assembly, or product testing and use of small hand tools. Maintenance, construction, and automotive repair can also be relevant to this role.
