Job Description At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three categories: Play, Learn, and Compete. Our Recreational classes, under the Learn umbrella, are at the heart of what we do - teaching strength, skill, and character through gymnastics. As a Recreational Coach, you will help kids of all ages, genders, and abilities discover their own strength and confidence. Whether you were a gymnast, enjoy watching gymnastics, or are new to the sport but love teaching, we have a supportive training program to set you up for success. Energetic work environment with opportunities for career growth. SGA Coaches are responsible for: Teaching progressive gymnastics classes in various departments. Creating purposeful lesson plans aligned with skill charts. Maintaining consistent attendance for class schedules. Tracking skill development and communicating with parents about their child's progression. Participating in paid training opportunities. Assisting in light cleaning duties to keep gyms ready for classes. Qualifications: A desire to promote a positive learning environment for every child. Responsible, reliable, and consistent, leading by example. Basic knowledge or experience in gymnastics is great, but we train people from all backgrounds. Enthusiasm about working with kids with a safe, positive demeanor. Desire to work as part of an energetic team unified in our mission. Experience in a gym or kid-friendly environment is preferred but not required. Effective communicator with children and adults. Ability to walk on uneven surfaces on the gymnastics floor.
