Radiology Technologist POSITION DESCRIPTION The Radiology Technologist in the Enhanced Staffing Solutions Local Flex Team is responsible for providing quality patient care in a manner that reflects a commitment to the core values of the Rochester Regional Health System. In any patient care setting, the Radiology Technologist performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures. By working on assignments and/or floating through Rochester Regional Health facilities, you provide care where it’s needed most. Required Credentials NYS license in Radiology Technology If licensed after 2007 must have an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) AHA BLS Certification Preferred Experience Required Two years college certificate or equivalent. Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a large hospital. Must have experience with a variety of equipment including OEC C-arms, Philips, Samsung, GE and Carestream. Must have portable and fluoroscopy imaging experience and be able to perform fluoroscopy exams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications. Skills&Abilities Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas. Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts. Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in-patient charts as necessary. Cleans, restocks, and prepares rooms daily. Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-services. Practices and held accountable for excellent customer service behaviors. Provide on-call coverages for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology. Performs other duties as assigned.
