Observes all radiation safety guidelines and performs any other duties which assist in the provision of quality patient care according to the mission and values of the health center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (7-10 statements) % Time 20%Performs all radiologic examinations per established protocols. Prepares equipment and imaging area for patient procedures. May transport or escort patients to and from Radiology area. Performs clerical and technical related duties as it pertains to retrieving previous exams. Performs all clerical duties needed to assist in the patient care process and reviews all exams for quality and completeness. 20%Ensures radiation safety to the patient, public, and self also in conjunction with ODH and JC requirements. Educates patients and/or family member to procedure and any other educational requirements. 20%Operates and maintains equipment used and records all maintenance in log books, performs quality control testing as required by department quality assurance plan/coordinator 10%Adheres to work schedule, and schedules PTO time off in accordance to departmental policy. Attends departmental staff meetings and in-services as required. Adheres to all - established CareTIME / HR policies. 10%Maintains competencies of a Radiologic Technologist as required by department, state and federal guidelines. 10%Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department. Maintains ethical relationships. Assist others in the department, requests assistance when necessary and demonstrates a team approach to patient care. Assist in developing the skills of students, trainees, or residents. 10%Delivers on our Promise by always demonstrating excellent patient experience behaviors. MINIMUM EDUCATION Required Minimum Education Specialty/Major:Radiologic Sciences/Radiology Preferred Education: Specialty/Major: LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS (must be non-expired/active unless otherwise stated): Required: ARRT(R) Registered, current BLS Certification, Ohio Department of Health License for Radiologic Technologist Preferred: ACLS preferred, previous experience preferred MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 2 years of general radiography preferred Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Broad Range of Technical Skills. Has fairly detailed level of knowledge of a Radiology modality Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Gathers, organizes, verifies, and analyzes data in the completion of multi-step procedures.
