Urgent need for Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner for Billings, MT location Cases: The Psychiatric Stabilization Unit (PSU) is a psychiatric observation unit. PSU Nurse Practitioners (NPs) provide psychiatric emergent assessments in the Emergency Department (ED) and disposition for admission to the inpatient psychiatric units, PSU, or potential discharge from ED. PSU NPs may admit to the observation unit (PSU) and are responsible for the care of patients in that environment. Typical volume ranges from 4 - 8 adult patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing management of psychiatric medications. Administer IV infusions as necessary and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a Level I Trauma Center setting to coordinate patient care. Utilize telehealth technology to offer remote consultations and follow-ups for patients. Engage in utilization management activities to optimize patient care pathways. Work with individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring appropriate support and interventions are provided. Stay informed about workers' compensation laws to assist patients navigating their treatment options. EMR: Cerner BLS: Yes Active MT state license If interested can share your CV on my mail.
